Math 010 Online Class

Welcome to Math 010 online class. This course is for students who are unable to take the course in a traditional lecture classroom format. Our class web site is www.coursecompass.com . You need to be a registered member of MyMathLab to do homework assignments, to take quizzes, to use online textbook, etc.

To get started:

1. Buy the textbook, "Beginning Algebra", 4th edition, by Martin-Gay. (The MyMathLab Student Access Code and Student Solution Manual come free with a purchase of a new textbook if you buy it at GWC bookstore.)

2. Go to http://www.coursecompass.com/ and click on "Register" and follow the directions. You will need

A. A valid email address.

B. Course ID: hoang54118

C. MyMathLab Student Access Code (comes free with the purchase of a new textbook from the GWC bookstore).

3. After becoming a registered member of MyMathLab, you should click on “Installation Wizard” to install some required plugins. Without these plugins, you cannot do homework, take quizzes, etc.

4. We will only communicate with each other through my school e-mail at ahoang@gwc.cccd.edu or my office phone number (714) 892 – 7711 ext 51042.

5. Click on "Course Syllabus" icon to get the syllabus.
